Danish Maritime Days is a non-profit public-private partnership between Danish Shipping, the Danish Maritime Authority and Danish Maritime taking place from 1-4 May, 2018.
Danish Maritime Days collaborates across the industry – shipowners, bankers and other investors, shipyards, suppliers, brokers, lawyers, ship management, insurance, ports and various service providers – as well as with regulators and other important stakeholders and opinion shapers.
Danish Maritime Days is an open platform and all events are organised independently. The objective is to bring together people across the industry with regulators and other stakeholders to inspire collaboration and to discuss the future challenges of the maritime industry.
Danish Shipping is organising the following events during the week:

Kick-off – 1 May, 2018 from 13.30
Danish Shipping will host the kick-off event and opening reception on 1 May 2018. Søren Toft, COO in Maersk Line will give the keynote presentation and you will get to hear small highlights from some of the biggest events during the week. The kick-off event and reception is organised by the three partners Danish Shipping, the Danish Maritime Authority and Danish Maritime in collaboration.
Maritime Security in Africa – Beyond Piracy – 2 May, 2018 8.30-17.00
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Centre for Military Studies (University of Copenhagen) and Danish Shipping is jointly organising a maritime security conference with support from Clipper Group. The aim of the conference is to address the current and possible future challenges to maritime security in the Gulf of Guinea and the Horn of Africa, to identify possible gaps, shortcomings and challenges to the existing efforts, and discuss expectations and possible novel ways to approach these challenges. The event takes place at Clipper House, Sundkrogsgade 19, 2100 Copenhagen.
Shipping Lounge at Danish Maritime Fair – 2-4 May, 2018
Danish Shipping once again arrange a Shipping Lounge where members will participate during the Danish Maritime Fair at Lokomotivværkstedet in Copenhagen. The Lounge is a place for the shipping companies to net-work and meet with potential suppliers.
Minister for Industry, Business and Financial Affairs, Brian Mikkelsen, will visit the Lounge for an informal reception on Thursday 3 May at 12.30, where we hope to see many of you.
