BSc in International Shipping and Trade


Employees who have completed the BSc in International Shipping and Trade at CBS may participate in parts of the Commercial Shipping Program.


The next Commercial Shipping Program will start on 21 September 2020 and the participants will attend parts of the tuition at the residential modules in Denmark:

Module 1: 21 - 29 September 2020

Module 2: 25 - 31 May 2021

Module 3: 13 - 17 June 2022

The first module will start off with a day of introduction taking place at Danish Shipping in Amaliegade 33, Copenhagen.

The partial participation includes the following subjects:

  • Module 1: Introduction, Cultural Understanding, Communication and Ship Knowledge

  • Module 2: Ship Knowledge, Negotiation and Presentation

  • Module 3: Ship Knowledge and Risk Management.


Maritime Economics and Law lessons and the Case Study in Maritime Law/Economics are not included. However, the participants are free to follow the online webinars.

Ship Knowledge includes three exams – one at each module.


Course fee

The course fee is DKK 50,000 + VAT per participant for members and DKK 62,000 + VAT for non-members.



The participants will receive diplomas for the completed subjects and STCW certified course certificates for passed course in “Transport of dangerous goods”.
