Are you having difficulties understanding a maritime related topic? Or would you like to share your ideas and discuss problems and solutions with someone? As a member, you have the chance to book a 45 min. 1:1 Q&A session with one of our qualified advisers. During the 1:1 you can talk about topics such as environmental regulation or environmental reporting. “Book a Q&A” is a new concept from Danish Shipping focused on your needs and your preferred time. The meeting can either be on Microsoft Teams or at Amaliegade 33, 1256 København K.
To book a Q&A with one of our advisers, you must write an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with your topic of interest and preferred time. Shortly after, our adviser will contact you with more information.
First aid for babies
Time and place: 19th of september 2022 from 10:30-13:00 at Danish Shipping, Amaliegade 33, 1256.
‘Simpel Førstehjælp’ will teach us ’how to’ and ’what to be aware of’ when we as parents want to make our homes babyproof. Also, they will advise on how best to start up on solid foods. Moreover, the focus will also on what to do if an accident happens.

Webinar: Working permits in the UK
Time and place: Tuesday 27. September 2022 at 16:00 to 17:00 at microsoft teams
On 14 September Danish Shipping and the UK Government will host a webinar on relevant visa options for Danish shippers and other companies who are posting employees to the UK.
More than a year has gone since the UK left the EU’s single market and new rules on trade in services entered into force. Navigating the rules of mobility in any country can be complicated and with the UK’s Off-shore wind concession is set to end by 31 October Danish companies might need to explore alternative routes.. After this date, Danish companies will have to utilise existing visa routes to deploy Danish worker in the UK were applicable and possible. This session will set out the main work routes available under the UK’s points-based immigration system and how to go about sponsoring a worker.

Maritime Security in the Gulf of Guinea and beyond

Piracy, armed robbery, and other forms of maritime criminal activity continue to constitute a serious challenge to the global shipping industry as well as to stability and development in countries affected by these illegal activities. It is our pleasure to invite you to attend a seminar on maritime security organised jointly by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, the Centre for Military Studies at the University of Copenhagen, and Danish Shipping, during Danish Maritime Days in October 2022.

Educational conference: The future green competences and digitalization
In the days of Danish Maritime Days, Danish Shipping is co-hosting an educational conference with Maritime Research Alliance (MRA) on the 6th of october from 09.30 - 16.30 at Danish Shipping, Amaliegade 33, 1256 Copenhagen K.
The focus of the conference will be the future competences of within the shipping industry (at land and sea). There will be equal parts of presentations, workshops and hotspots on the day.

Danish Maritime Days is back with open doors and an international agenda
Danish Shipping, Danish Maritime and the Danish Maritime Authority are very much looking forward to kicking off the Danish Maritime Days 2022 on October 4-6th.
Danish Maritime Days is back in its physical form after years of COVID-19 restrictions, at a time where the maritime sector is facing an unprecedented world situation and many topics are more important than ever – green energy, education, maritime security and digitalization to mention a few. Danish Maritime Days will provide a platform for peer discussions on these topics and many more.
Private and public stakeholders are welcome to join by registering their event under the Danish Maritime Days umbrella. Send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org including time, date, location, a short description of the event, and any other relevant information. The event will be added to the calendar on the Danish Maritime Days website, and will be promoted across social media platforms.
